MMG Rosebery:

Rosebery is an underground polymetallic base metal mine located in the township of Rosebery in Tasmania, Australia and is 100% owned by MMG Limited.

With continuous production since 1936 Rosebery mine has current potential to extend life beyond 2028. This underground mine has continually attracted and produced world class professionals. With a strong community focus and core values including safety and integrity, we are proud of our role in community development and our economic contribution to the local Tasmanian industry.

The operation continues to deliver excellent operational performance and employs over 500 employees and contractors who reside in the local region.

Maintenance Electrician

We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join our Maintenance team at Rosebery. Reporting to the Mill Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible to carry out electrical maintenance tasks in line with planned maintenance and project schedules.

This role is a 7 on / 7 off roster including night shift.

Key Accountabilities

• Maintain, diagnose faults and repair low and high voltage electrical systems.
• Carry out electrical maintenance tasks in line with planned maintenance and project schedules.
• Interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Install high and low voltage infrastructure
• Maintain electrical support for mining equipment

Qualifications & Competencies

To be successful, you will have an unwavering commitment to safe work practices, a team player with a strong motivation and passion to be part of our mining family at Rosebery.

• Indentured electrical tradesperson.
• Basic computer skills (eg. MS Office)
• Experience in maintenance and diagnostics on mine communication systems
• A full manual drivers’ licence.
• underground mining experience with a HR license is preferred but not essential.
• Experience working in a Mining operation.
• High Voltage Operator licence.
• Instrumentation knowledge
• PLC programming.
• Fibre optic communications-Cat 6 experience.
